I also cannot add a folder to import from because the D500 folder is never shown in the browser digikam throws up. When I try and add the camera manually and select USB it is not listed and I cannot use the path This PC\D500. Under card readers it can see my card reader drives but they are all empty. When I look at digicam's import menu item under cameras I only have "add camera manually".

I then installed Nikon Transfer 2 and that is able to access the camera and download photos from the computer.
